I was told that the wiring harness in the titanium was not setup to have factory heated seats installed and that the factory heated seat switches would not work with the after market seat heaters. Webb11 okt. 2012 · The passenger side heated seats button on the center console lights up, but the driver's side does not light up. I tried them out one cool morning this week and niether seat works. At the fuse panel the heated seats fuses are not blown. I was wondering if anyone knew what powered the heated seats.

Since not all aftermarket seat heaters are the same, this assumes that your heater is a two setting heater with a high and low setting. Webb12 dec. 2009 · As greg210 says, "anything is possible", but IMHO for adding heated seats I'd go aftermarket, not factory. they are 3 heat settings, very easy to install, made for specific vehicles and IMHO better than mercedes (and most other) factory heated seats. Give them a call and they will guide you through the choices.

Webb23 aug. 2024 · The passenger seat has NO airbag, occupancy sensor or seat belt senor, so fitting this was electrically straight forward, as no wiring was required, only fabrication work. Agree, the current capacity should be written on the seat heater spec sheet, the switch should handle that. Also look at FSM for amp capacity/requirements of the factory seat heater.
